DaqFox

Supported devices

Every device is included in every licence, with no surcharge per device or channel.

What to know per device

HBM/HBK MGCplus

CP22 / CP42, RS232 or Ethernet

  • Over Ethernet the IP address is enough; DaqFox uses the TCP port from the HBM manual.
  • Up to 16 slots. Several channels are read in turn, so the rate per channel divides.
  • At connect DaqFox checks with *IDN? that the device really answers, and asks which slots are fitted.
  • Racks badged HBM or HBK are the same device.

HBM/HBK Scout 55

RS232

  • Gross and net, filtered and unfiltered.
  • The device's peak-value memories as MAX, MIN and peak-to-peak, named as in its manual.

GTM LT-Digitizer

2, 4 or 6 channels, USB

  • Integration and software tare in DaqFox; CALIBRATE triggers the device's own calibration.
  • Each activated channel is calibrated when first read, which takes about ten seconds. Keep the sensor unloaded meanwhile.
  • Close GTM's own PC software first: it otherwise holds the port.

Norbar TTT Series 3

RS232, 43228

  • DaqFox only listens and sends nothing to the instrument.
  • Format, unit and limits are read from the data itself; there is nothing to configure.
  • CAPTURE takes the displayed, held value at once. Averaging does not apply to this instrument, because every reading it sends is a measurement somebody made on purpose.

Connected in three steps

Pick the device family, pick the model, press Connect & init. For RS232 you choose the COM port, for Ethernet the IP address. The device's answer appears under the buttons, and reading starts by itself.

Two columns cannot share one COM port. Windows then reports "access denied", and DaqFox writes it into the second column's log.
